RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
Many customers of SD as well as HD, HD Recorders are experiencing the Error Code SM1. This is due to some technical problem with Airtel and we all hope this will be rectified soon.
As far as the Disk space, wait for the reply from @Pradeep. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images. |

RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
Airtel just claims 550 hours without mentioning the format of the content. I doubt it could hold that many hours of HD content. Around 80 hrs of HD content seems more like it.

RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
From the description, it says that 320GB HD will have upto 550 hours storage capacity (earlier, somewhere I read that 550hours SD recording!). The Old SD Recorder have the capacity as per the manual was 160GB which can record upto 150hours SD contents. (I have this Recorder but I never loaded upto its full capacity so far, but I realized from what I recorded, in all probability this one will take close to 150hours recording).

RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
Well I too got a new HD Recorder installed on 25th evening and got the channels activated the next day but after going through the functions yesterday I noticed that 3D Ready as well as the Watch One Record One features were not available. On checking the carton I find that it is a Jan '11 product. Though it is working fine I have written to their CC seeking clarifications.

RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
Congratulations on your new purchase. Enjoy it.
Airtel recorders have the feature of watching one programme whilst recording another programme, irrespective of what is written in the manual or instructions as far as the dish is connected with twin LNB with two cables coming to the STB.! RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
slow motion works as - Simply pause a channel or any of your recorded programme and press forward once to start slow motion. Press the play button to get back to normal speed. (This feature is there even in old SD Recorders).
3D ready - you may need a 3D tv and 3D programme to get original 3D effect. Fast Forward - as said above, recorded programmes can be fast forwarded. Also you can 'pause' any live programme (incase you want to avoid ads etc?) and then after some time you can fast forward the unwanted portion from that particular programme.. RE: My New Airtel HD Recorder (Review with Pics)
Hi,
The box says it is [HD] Recorder. These features are not mentione in the instruction manual nor on the carton of the setup box. So, asked it. Say for example slow motion. on the universal remote there is no button to run in slow motion. Also, setup box or manual doesn't say anything about being 3D ready. Please help |
