Vodafone launches postpaid to prepaid talk time transfer service
Vodafone India on Monday launched an innovative ‘Post-to-Pre Talk time Transfer’ service which enables a post-paid Vodafone customer to instantly transfer talk-time (balance) to a pre-paid Vodafone connection.

This unique service is live in Mumbai, Maharashtra & Goa, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and will be extended to other states in a phased manner

This service will be of special benefit for those post-paid Vodafone customers who have family members, domestic staff, friends or office staff using a pre-paid Vodafone connection and in need of talktime (balance).

Post-to-Pre Talk-time Transfer is one more innovative offering that follows the list highly successful award winning services launched earlier namely ‘Chotta Credit’, ‘Prepaid to Prepaid Balance transfer’ and ‘Call Me back’ services.

Speaking on this new and customer-friendly initiative, Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India said, “The Post to Pre Balance Transfer service s one more way of demonstrating to our customers that we truly live by our message, ‘Power to You’.”

The service is enabled through the increasingly popular USSD platform. To transfer balance to a pre-paid connection, subscriber has to dial *130# and follow an interactive menu. Alternatively, the customer can dial *130#*Amount*Recipient Number#. Both donor and recipient will receive confirmation SMS after successful transfer. The balance gets credited into the prepaid number within minutes. Maximum and minimum amount per transaction is Rs 100 and Rs 50 respectively.

This service is applicable within the same circle. The ‘Post-to-Pre Talk time Transfer’ facility allows a post-paid subscriber to make one transaction per day. A recipient can receive up to three transactions in a day. However, the maximum amount that can be transferred from a single post-paid connection or received by a single pre-paid connection cannot exceed Rs 1000 per month. A nominal service fee of Rs.3/- will be charged to the donor for the transaction. Enterprise subscribers are not eligible for this service.
