Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajashekhara Reddy died on Wednesday in a helicopter crash in the jungles of Nallamalla near Kurnool but his body could be recovered only on Thursday morning.
Army commandos recovered the dead bodies of all the five people including YSR Reddy who were on board the twin-engine Bell 430 helicopter.
Reddy was accompanied by his Principal Secretary S Subramanyam, Chief Security Officer ASC Wesley while the helicopter was being flown by two pilots - Group Captain SK Bhatia and Captain MS Reddy - when it went down in bad weather on top of a hill about 40 nautical miles (74 km) east of Kurnool.
An Indian Air Force helicopter had earlier on Thursday morning located the mangled remains of the helicopter.
