<img style="float:left; margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px;" src="http://www.bestmediainfo.com/XMLFiles/NewsImages/Asli_No_1.jpg" />92.7 BIG FM is back with its latest offering India’s first ever Green Humour Mimicry Show called Asli No. 1. Being presented by title sponsor India Gate Basmati Rice and associate sponsor Zafri Pan Masala, Asli No. 1 is poised to be one of the biggest and first ever humour mimic hunts, creating awareness in the ‘green space’. The launch event saw none other than John Abraham stepping forward in support of the initiative with the hope (Aashayein) of a greener tomorrow.

Spread across 42 cities of the country, Asli No. 1 is BIG FM’s hunt for India’s next BIG mimicker, providing entertainment, while drawing listeners’ attention to real issues caused by the lack of consciousness towards the environment. Leveraging the ‘local’ power of radio, the activity will be able to effectively reach and engage consumers as it will reflect ‘green issues’ that impact their lives. Truly a great example of entertainment with a purpose.

To ensure maximum reach and multiple touch points, a number of partner have been roped on board ASLI NO 1. On the environment front organizations like UNEP’s Billion Tree Campaign, Carbon Minus India and IISD have leant their support. Media support will come in through Star News, Youtube, Baskin & Robbins, Zapak, Reliance World, BIG Adda, BIG Flix, BIG Cinemas, BIG Street. Novotel, Mumbai has supported the activity as the Hospitality partner while the music company Saregama will be releasing a special album featuring the eventual winner of ASLI NO 1.

The modus operandi is simple, Asli No. 1 will call for entries on-air from listeners who can mimic stars while incorporating a ‘green message’ in their entries. Each week will see the best entries played on air, for listeners to choose their favourites from and cast their votes. Apart from audiences’ reactions, well renowned stand-up comedians, celebrated environmentalists and socially conscious Bollywood stars will also judge the mimic artists and choose the ones that best spread the ‘green message through their humour’. The National Winner of Asli No. 1 will get a chance to become an RJ on India’s No.1 FM Station Network 92.7 BIG FM, as well as a host of other opportunities ranging 1 lac cash prize, a 42 inch plasma TV, opportunity to cut a Music album with Saregama, an opportunity to audition with BIG Productions for one of the upcoming TV series.

Asli No. 1 will be supported by a holistic campaign covering TV, radio, online, mobile, experiential marketing, out of home and retail media. Television support will be in the form of a television commercial as well as support from our news channel partner Star News. To complete the 360 degree engagement, the finale of Asli No. 1 will be telecast on leading Hindi GEC channel with a 2 hour show.

Leveraging Group Company synergies, Asli No.1 will be also be hosted across various outlets including Reliance World outlets where aspirants can audition for the contest. Aside from this Zapak and Big Adda will promote Asli No 1 online, while BIG CINEMA & BIG FLIX will offer branding opportunities across their properties. BIG Street will be the OOH partner providing advertising space on their inventories across the country. Overall Asli No. 1 will get marketing support of over Rs. 2.5 crores.

Commenting on their new initiative Soumen Ghosh Choudhury, Business Head, 92.7 BIG FM said, “Through Asli No. 1, we are furthering our endeavour to reach, engage and enrich consumers, through the power of relevant ideas, in the process creating ever growing value for our stakeholders. We are proud to be presenting another clutter breaking initiative through India’s first ever green humour contest. We are using humour as a peg extremely innovatively to address the issues of the environment that have reached alarming heights. We are thankful to our partners for helping us multiply the reach of this initative to Indians across the length and breadth of the country.”

Commenting on the association Brijesh Sud - VP Sales and Marketing - KRBL Ltd said "Asli no.1 as a property is unique in the sense that it differentiates from others in terms of the Green initiative that is attached and we at KRBL strongly feel that there is a need to highlight the urgency surrounding world climate issues. India gate basmati rice has been the largest selling brand till date with a very strong network of the size of 430 distribution partners and the highest turnover across globe with largest milling capacity and thus it makes all the more sense to be associated with BIG FM which currently has the largest radio network in the country.”

Marketed as an intellectual property by BIG Live, Asli No.1 will become an annual property from the RBNL stable. This will now join other key properties already developed and marketed by BIG LIVE – BIG Bangla Music Awards, BIG Kannada Music Awards, BIG IMA Awards and Coolest Fresher.
