MUZAFFARPUR: Video call, TV viewing and internet facilities on BSNL cellphones became operational on Tuesday with the launching of 3G (third generation) mobile services at Muzaffarpur and Sitamarhi towns by BSNL GM R N Paul who called deputy GM Kaushal Kishore, sitting by his side, at a press conference here.
Paul informed that initial Sim charge for pre-paid services is Rs 300 and migration from 2G to 3G would require only Rs 151, including service charge. Those who do not have particular sets would have to purchase sets having 3G facilities. There are three different categories of activation vouchers beginning from Rs 350 to Rs 1350 having validity from 30 days to 90 days.
Local video calls will cost from Rs 1.50 to Rs 2 while STD ones will cost Rs 2 to Rs 3 per minute depending on the category of activation vouchers, the GM informed. He also informed about various categories of special value vouchers for curtailing the cost of talks.
