Bharti Airtel set to acquire Millicom's Sri Lankan assets

Asia's largest telecom service provider, Bharti Airtel is considering buying Luxembourg-based Millicom International Cellular assets in Sri Lanka.

Millicom, a Sweden based company has decided to put it's mobile operations in Sri Lanka up for sale .after calling off its deal with MTN , Bharti Airtel is exploring new means to keep itself busy and therefore is mulling over this new deal.

The acquisition of Millicom's Sri Lankan operations would cost the company somewhere between $100 million to $120 million.
