Breaking News : ASUS announces all-new X99 signature and ROG Strix motherboards
The most important peripheral in a gaming rig is a motherboard which holds together many of the most important components together. From regulating power management for overclocking to inter-connectivity between many imperative components like graphics cards and processors, motherboard plays a very crucial part in the performance front. Hence, looking for a reliable, aesthetically pleasing, feature rich and rugged motherboard is a crucial part for any enthusiast. ASUS brings gaming features with aesthetics for gamers looking to personalize and illuminate their rig with exclusive features like ASUS Aura RGB illumination (multiple lighting options), 5-Way Optimization (for easy automatic overclocking), Customization, strengthened Safe Slot (reinforced protection for heavy graphics cards) and RAM Cache technology (for loading applications on RAM for faster access). For the past ten years, Republic of Gamers (ROG) have created a name synonymous with overclocking and performance.

ASUS Announces All-New X99 Signature and ROG Strix Motherboards

ASUS and Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced ASUS Signature X99-Deluxe II, X99-A II and X99-E, along with ROG Strix X99 Gaming from the latest ROG Strix Series line-up — four all-new ATX motherboards based on the Intel® X99 chipset and loaded with exclusive technologies to maximize the potential of the new Intel Core™ i7 processor family for socket LGA 2011-v3.

Being retrofitted with some premium features to maximize the potential of the new family of Intel Core i7 processors for socket LGA 2011-v3.

"Our X99 motherboards have won awards from many respected publications and editors around the world, with ASUS consistently praised as the number-one motherboard brand. We are keen to offer best-selling, easy-to-use, stable and trusted motherboards — that’s why we call them BEST. And we’re proud to introduce our all-new X99 motherboards allowing users to customize their experience and maximize performance in ways that simply aren’t possible with any other brand of motherboard.” - Joe Hsieh, ASUS Corporate Vice President & General Manager of Motherboard Business Unit

ASUS X99 Signature motherboard range

The new X99 Signature motherboards features include the pioneering OC Socket which uses extra socket pins to tap into even more overclocking power to drive CPU and DDR4 performance beyond all expectations, and exclusive 5-Way Optimization for one-click overclocking solution. With the newly upgraded Fan Xpert 4 customization in cooling is taken to new heights, with the ability to detect PWM/DC fans on all headers, use high-amperage fans and control water-cooling pumps in both software and the media-acclaimed ASUS UEFI BIOS.

The new boards also feature ASUS Aura, with onboard RGB lighting and a 4-pin LED-strip header to create stunning illumination effects — all easily synced with an ever-growing portfolio of Aura-capable ASUS hardware.

The latest-generation X99 Signature motherboards are engineered with ASUS SafeSlot. This reinvented, strengthened PCIe slot uses a new insert-molding process to bind the slot to fortifying metal for superior 1.6X retention and 1.8X shearing resistance.

Next-generation connectivity is also a major theme of the refreshed X99 Signature series, with up to dual U.2 and M.2 slots to tap into 32Gbps of PCIe® bandwidth, 3x3 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and USB 3.1 Type-A and reversible Type-C. X99-Deluxe II also includes ASUS ThunderboltEX 3, a quick-to-fit expansion card for blistering transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.

ROG Strix X99 Gaming

ROG Strix X99 Gaming has great gaming aesthetics that enables passionate gamers to illuminate their builds with multicolor magnificence. LED effects can be customized with ASUS Aura( intuitive lighting control software). Just like ASUS X99 Signature motherboard Strix X99 Gaming also features OC Socket , 5-Way Optimization, and Fan Xpert 4 for ultimate cooling and control. The eight DIMMs support up to 128GB of DDR4 memory overclocked up to 3,333MHz which is enough for virtual machines, video editing machines and virtually anything else you throw at it. Three PCIe 3.0/2.0 X16 slots are available for up to 3-way SLI or CrossFire for multi-GPU grunt, three extra PCIe 2.0 slots (two X1 and one X16) can be used for other add-in cards such as discrete audio solutions or SSDs.

ROG Strix X99 Gaming is made for gaming with SupremeFX, Sonic Radar II, Intel Ethernet, and GameFirst technologies. Shielded SupremeFX delivers flawless high-fidelity audio with a remarkable 115dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The all-new GameFirst IV optimizes network traffic for faster, lag-free online gaming — helping gamers dominate with epic speed and agility.

ROG Strix X99 also features the all-new ASUS SafeSlot (fortifies the PCIe slot) and loads of brilliant defenses, highly-durable components and smart DIY features. ROG Strix X99 also delivers great data transfers, with onboard U.2, USB 3.1 Type-A and C, M.2, 2x2 Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO. Uniquely-intelligent RAMCache technology (Earlier known as RAMDISK) effectively caches an entire storage device to launch favorite games and apps at breakneck speeds.

Ultra-fast transfers: ThunderboltEX 3

The new ASUS Signature X99-Deluxe II, X99-A II, X99-E and ROG Strix X99 Gaming motherboards all support ThunderboltEX 3, an Intel-certified Thunderbolt™ 3 card that enables breathtaking bi-directional speeds up to 40Gbps — four-times faster than other PC data-transfer cables with twice the video bandwidth for the latest 60Hz 4K UHD displays. Thunderbolt 3 also supports daisy-chaining of up to six devices, and has a reversible USB Type-C connector for compatibility with the latest USB 3.1 Type-C devices. It also supports the USB Power Delivery specification for fast, high-power charging of up to 36W. ThunderboltEX 3 is included with X99-Deluxe II.

With Intel's enthusiast based processors (i.e Broadwell-E family) lining up on leaked benchmarks, we can safely assume that we will be getting some official information soon. Computex and E3 is just around the corner and we are really excited to see what Intel has it in for us.
