Three HD channels are going to be removed from the HD base packs of Dish TV from 1st of April, 2014 and will be available only on A-La-Carte basis. The scroll is running on Colors HD, History TV18 and CNBC Prime HD.
I spoke to Customer Care Executive who confirmed the same and told me that I have to pay extra to get these channels. Colors HD is going to be priced at Rs.100/- per month while History TV18 and CNBC Prime HD will be priced at Rs.70/- each. It is way too high compared to other DTH players.
Videocond2h provides these channels even in their low priced HD base packs(Starting Gold Entertainment HD pack priced at Rs.389/- per month). Videocon also provides these channels on A-La-Carte at just Rs.23/- per month for each channel which is way too low when compared to Dish TV
It sure appears there is some conflict between Network 18 and Dish TV as they came with a similar move for SD channels of Network18 in January 2014. However, loyal customers have to shell out extra money to watch their favorite channels.
