With their new solution of Tata Sky+ HD’s Video on Demand through Wi-Fi they are simplifying the set up process and we can now enjoy library of movies, TV shows and concerts with more comfort. We need to connect a Netgear Wi-fi bridge dongle which takes Ethernet cabling into the box & gives Wi-Fi signals out. This makes us enjoy the VoD service with more convenience eliminating the hassle of wiring.

2) will they provide any modems/usb bridge dongles, or do we have to buy our own?

This service has already been introduced in Tata Sky + HD boxes and will soon be applicable for HD boxes with a software update

You can buy the dongles from your trusted retailer but buying it from Tata Sky is a much better option. . The Tata Sky price for this solution is Rs 1975. No installation charges apply.
