Sony Six, the sports entertainment channel from Multi Screen Media (MSM) stable, will be available on all direct-to-home (DTH) platforms from 1 December.
The channel has signed four new deals. The first two are with Tata Sky and Airtel digital TV, making the channel available on these DTH platforms.
The broadcaster, which was earlier available on Videocon d2h and Dish TV, has also closed deals with DTH operators Reliance Big TV and Sun Direct. The last two deals are effective 1 December.
Six, which went on air on 7 April, is being sold as part of the MSM Discovery bouquet and has been priced at Rs 14.70 on a la carte basis in digital addressable system (DAS) areas.
Six HD is only available on DTH platforms as cable platforms are not yet ready to roll out their HD services.
MSM COO N P Singh said, "DTH platforms have achieved a strong distribution reach and with this development, we will be able to further strengthen our distribution in India."
