Cinemax, one of the largest multiplex chains in India, has introduced the first multiplex in Kerala with the launch of its property at Oberon Mall in Kochi. With this launch, Cinemax now has 94 operational screens and is poised to take the count to 100 with its forthcoming launches in Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Baroda. The plush property in Oberon Mall here, will be Cinemax's second property in South India, the first one being in Hyderabad.
The new property is a step towards reinforcing Cinemax's commitment of providing the best of Indian and International Cinema to its viewers across the country. This new multiplex will have the Cinemax benchmarked technology, lighting, acoustic sound system – thus making each movie-watching experience unique. It will host a total of 634 seats with four screens.
The multiplex will also have 14 recliner seats that recline up to 150 degrees and viewers can also enjoy a personalised café service while enjoying their favourite movie, Mr Devang Sampat, Senior Vice-President, Cinemax India Ltd, said.
With this launch, the company has made an entry into Kerala which is an important market for us, he said.
Cinemax has established its presence with a strong emphasis on screen size, picture and sound quality and innovative consumer offers, offering viewers a variety which keeps them coming back for more, he added.
