Cinemax channel with a new logo.

CINEMAX will be refreshed with a new on-air and online look and a new logo. Along with the refresh, CINEMAX will premiere exclusive high-octane, suspense-filled, raw and gritty made for CINEMAX Original Series on the channel such as BANSHEE, HUNTED and STRIKE BACK and the HBO Latin American original series, PROFUGOS (a.k.a. THE FUGITIVES).

“In line with being an action, suspense and science-fiction channel that is targeted at men, CINEMAX’s new on-air look will have a brazen design that accentuates the male skewed humor of the channel with a modernist twist by using a vibrant color theme,” said Magdalene Ew, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Creative and Content, HBO Asia.

In terms of programming, CINEMEX will be boosted with higher caliber movies and greater variety of content from both independent as well as Hollywood studios to keep viewers on the edge of their seat with its choice offering of bold and adrenaline-pumping movies. Upcoming titles that will be premiering on CINEMAX include SOURCE CODE, THE DEBT and KILLER ELITE. Subscribers can also look forward to 31 nights of horror flicks across October in MAX SCREAMFEST and a STAR TREK MOVIE MARATHON in November with ten original Star Trek movies.

As for CINEMAX Original Series, the second season of STRIKE BACK, a high-octane, globe-spanning thriller which focuses on two members of a top-secret intelligence agency known as Section 20, premieres on 7 Sep at 10pm (9pm Jkt.Thai) while HUNTED, which premieres this December, is by the creators of ‘The X-Files’ and is set in the world of international espionage where a highly-skilled operative is ordered to infiltrate a wealthy family and uncovers much more mystery than she bargained.

Subscribers can look forward to more action-packed CINEMAX Original series in 2013, including BANSHEE, a highly anticipated series from Alan Ball, the creator of TRUE BLOOD, about a much sought after ex-convict, who continues about his crime whilst assuming the identity of a sheriff; and PROFUGOS, about the frantic pursuit of four men who are absconding from both the mafia and the law by seeking refuge throughout Chilean territory.

CINEMAX is currently available in 18 territories throughout Asia.
