DTH News : Tata Sky details now on WhatsApp: Subscribers can now check balance and channel pack
Tata Sky details now on WhatsApp: Subscribers can now check balance and channel pack details via texts

ith the arrival of JioFiber's TV service, the DTH industry in India is undergoing a major revolution. Most operators are aiming for aggressive pricing in a bid to attract more people to their platform or bundling additional benefits for the same prices. However, Tata Sky is possibly the only operator that has been trying to focus on its existing customers with quality services without additional offers. And before Jio's smarter TV service comes to the market, Tata Sky has taken another step to please its tech-savvy subscribers.

In what comes as a fresh move by the DTH operator, Tata Sky is now making it easy for its subscribers to gain information about their account. Subscribers will be able to access most of their account details via WhatsApp. With a simple setup process, you can essentially receive your Tata Sky account details similar to how it works with SMS-based systems.

However, subscribers will have to install and become a member of WhatsApp Business. Tata Sky's service utilizes the WhatsApp Business service through which brands can reach out to their customers directly. Hence, if you have a Tata Sky connection and want to avail the service, you will have to install the WhatsApp Business app.

Do note that subscribers will have to make an account on WhatsApp Business with their registered mobile number with Tata Sky. Once the account is made or if you already have a Business account, you will have to save Tata Sky's tollfree WhatsApp Business number on your device, which is +91 1800 208 6633. You will need to send something to this number following which Tata Sky's official account will send a reply with all the services it can provide with this service.

As of now, Tata Sky is only offering a selected number of details on WhatsApp which include adding a channel, removing a channel, balance check, complete channel pack details, recharge instantly (provides a website link), refresh the account after recharge, unable to view a pack even after addition and to get emergency top-up.

If you want an easy setup process, you can give a missed call to 92296-92296 from your registered mobile number and keep getting all the updates. Subscribers can also send WHATSAPP to 56633 from the registered mobile number.
