DTH subscribers to be key focus of ItzCash’ marketing plans

While Haryana & Maharashtra accounted for more than Rs25 crore of DTH renewals, New Delhi and Gujarat accounted for approx 5 crore respectively


DTH subscribers in Tier 2 & tier 3 have moved towards the online medium for renewal of subscriptions and cash cards have emerged as the preferred mode for this.

Itz Cash Card Ltd., India’s only “Multi Service Prepaid Company” has emerged as the preferred payment option for online renewal of DTH subscription with monthly renewals of Rs80 crore. Haryana, Maharashtra, New Delhi and Gujarat accounted for the highest number of transactions for subscription renewal. While Haryana & Maharashtra accounted for more than Rs25 crore of DTH renewals, New Delhi and Gujarat accounted for approx 5 crore respectively

Buoyed by this growth Itz Cash Card Limited has said the DTH market will be a key focus area of the company’s marketing plans. The company will look at customers in Tier 2, Tier 3 and even rural India, where customers are looking at easier options for renewal.

ItzCash plans to reach out to these subscribers through direct sales and also through their national network of 25000 ItzCash World Outlets which facilitates multiple services for the customers.

According to Mr. Naveen Surya, Managing Director ItzCash Card Ltd. said, “The DTH market in India is big and it has enormous potential. Penetration of DTH in tier 1 cities and especially tier 2 and tier 3 cities / towns and rural India has contributed to the growth in the usage of ItzCash payment solution for service subscription. Our large network of franchisees which includes ItzCash World has facilitated this growth by providing consumers easy subscription renewal facilities instantly.”

He added “The DTH market has acquired around 23 million subscribers as of June 2010, which is a rise of approximately 44% over 2009 levels.” There is enormous scope of growth in the DTH market especially in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

DTH is a promising market with multiple service providers and over 90 million households with cable connection who are users / potential users of online payment of DTH subscription. Therefore DTH subscribers will be a key focus area for ItzCash.
