MUMBAI: Eenadu Television (ETV) is gearing up to produce its regional entertainment language content in high definition (HD), but is still far away from launching such upgraded channels for premium audiences.
"It's in the preliminary stage. Time is changing and so is technology. Adopting with the times, we are producing high definition content for better picture clarity and audio levels," says ETV vice president K Bapinedu.
The HD content will be produced in a phased manner. "Initially we will be producing content for programmes that will consist of both fiction and non-fiction and will be available in Telugu, Bangla, Marathi, Gujarati and Oriya," adds Bapinedu.
