First AMD-based Netbook Launched By Acer in India

Acer has introduced a Gateway netbook, LT 3111, based on the AMD platform in India.

The 11.6 inch netbook features AMD Athlon 64 single-core processor and is designed for on-the-go use. It also features 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD and comes with Vista Home Basic. The Gateway LT3111 incorporates an engraved logo, rounded edges, textured palm rest and is available in two high-gloss color options - NightSky Black and Cherry Red. It also features a multi-gesture touch pad and the 5-in-1 card reader .

This platform delivers the most reliable and a stable experience for consumers” said Deepanshu Sharma, GM – Consumer Sales, AMD India.

Gateway is presently available across 9 major cities Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkota, Del-NCR, Chandigarh, Pune, Mumbai and Ahemdabad with select premium Multibrand channel stores and via key Large format retail stores like Croma across key cities.

The Gateway LT31 Netbook is priced at Rs. 24,607 plus taxes.
