MUMBAI: Animal Planet will showcase an exclusive programming dedicated to Big Cats (including Lions, Leopards and Tigers) as a part of ‘Mission Big Cat.’
The new season starting from 2 October at 9 pm will run for six weeks, every Monday- Sunday, and will end on 12 November.
Animal Planet has roped in actors Tapsee Pannu and Ranna Daggubati to educate people about the need for tiger conservation. Starcast of Golmaal 4 including Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra and director Rohit Shetty will also feature in a campaign promoting tiger conservation.
Discovery Communications India VP – Premium and Digital Networks Zulfia Waris said, ‘’’Mission Big Cat’ is a not just a programming line-up, it is an attempt to make people understand how big cats live and how we can save them. We will showcase programming that enlightens viewers about the behaviour, predatory skills, family life and issues related to conservation of big cats.”
The lineup will includes titles such as ‘Snow Leopards of Ladakh’, ‘Looking for Sultan’, ‘Decoding the Man-Eater of Sundarbans’, ‘Amur Tiger’, ‘Cheetahs against all odds’, ‘White Lions Born Wild’ and ‘Last Lion of Liuwa’.
