BSNL Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 long term plans announced with additional 2.1GB data benefit per day

BSNL had launched the ‘Bumper Offer’ where it granted its users with additional 2.2GB of data on top of their plans early this year. While this offer came amidst the telecom war with private telecom players, it helped the company bring in new customers and retain its existing subscribers.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced that its ‘Bumper Offer’ received strong response from its subscribers. As a result of this strong response, the telecom operator has announced that it will be extending the validity of this bumper offer. The company had initially planned to stop this additional data offer on November 14, 2018. However, the offer is being extended until January 2019, and now provides additional 2.1GB data as opposed to 2.2GB data offered earlier.

Alongside extension for the bumper offer, BSNL has also confirmed that it is adding two annual plans priced at Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 to this scheme. This mean, in addition to standard data pack, customers will get additional 2.1GB data with these two annual plans. These two new annual plans will help the company battle private players and retain customers already subscribed to its annual plans.

BSNL’s Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 Annual Plans: What is new?

BSNL had first introduced its Bumper Offer in September and it was applicable with subscriptions of Rs 186, Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666 and Rs 999 plans. The offer was valid only with STVs of Rs 187, Rs 333, Rs 349, Rs 444 and Rs 448. In addition to these plans, BSNL is adding two high value plans as well.

BSNL has introduced two plans with long validity of 365 days priced at Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099. The STV-1699 offers 2GB data per day while the STV-2099 doubles the data benefit to 4GB data per day. Combining these plans with bumper offer, these Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099 STVs will offer 4.21GB and 6.21GB of data per day respectively.

BSNL Bumper Offer: Everything you need to know
To recall, BSNL had earlier introduced the ‘Monsoon Offer’ which was essentially the same offer as the bumper offer. The company had announced that this plan will only be valid till September 14, but the plan was extended to November 14, 2018.

Due to strong response, this offer has been extended until January 31, 2019, which means BSNL users will be able to reap benefits until the end of January next year. One of the big changes is that customers will get total of 2.1GB additional data and not 2.2GB data offered previously with the plan.
