BSNL has just launched new plans for its broadband users. BSNL is offering daily plans for its broadband users to ensure that they are providing competitive offers to counter the competition. As part of the new plans, BSNL broadband users will be able to get up to 600GB data per month. Users can choose from four available plans priced at Rs 99, Rs 199, Rs 229, and Rs 399. The company will offer all these plans at speed of 20Mbps till FUP, and 1Mbps after the user crosses said limit.

According to a report by TelecomTalk, these new plans have been launched in preparation to counter the offers and services that Reliance JioGigaFiber is expected to launch in the country in coming months. The report also pointed out that these plans offer unlimited voice calls for users and users across the country (with one exception) can opt for these new plans provided BSNL offers broadband services in the area. The exception includes Andaman & Nicobar islands where users will not be able to opt for these new plans. It looks like these new plans are available on a promotional basis which means that they will expire after 90 days of introduction.

As part of the Rs 99 plan, the user gets 45GB of data to use in a month with a daily limit of 1.5GB data. The Rs 199 provides up to 150GB data with a daily limit of 5GB while Rs 299 gives users a total of 300GB with a daily limit of 10GB.

Lastly, the Rs 399 amount gives a total of 600GB data with a daily limit of 20GB. The amount of data used resets at 12 midnight every day. One interesting thing to note here is that there is no limitation on the total amount of data that a user can use after they have crossed the FUP limit.

The report also pointed out that it is also offering a free email ID along with 1GB storage to its users. BSNL also clarified that these plans are for new users where people will have to pay Rs 500 as the security deposit and existing customers can’t switch to these plans. The company will ask the new users enrolling to this plan to shift to another broadband plan.
