BSNL to withdraw prepaid 3G/2G annual data plans - 1499, 2799, 3999 and 4499 from 1st December 2016 on PAN India basis

After launching Prepaid Annual Data STVs with double data benefit, BSNL has decided to withdraw existing prepaid annual data plans - 1499, 2799, 3999 and 4499 with effect from 1st December 2016 in all telecom circles.

As reported earlier, BSNL launched annual data plans bundled with Free Data Card in an attempt to provide more reliable and economical mobile internet services to customers especially the youth segment of society.

TRAI allowed operators to offer Data STVs with maximum validity of One Year to boost internet penetration in the country. Following TRAI guidelines, BSNL was the first operator to introduce Data STVs - 1498, 2798, 3998 and 4498 having one year validity with effect from 10-10-2016 on wards in all telecom circles. BSNL customers opting these annual data STVs from 10-10-2016 to 31-10-2016 may enjoy double data benefits with 365 days validity.

With the newly launched annual data STVs, 1GB 3G data rate is below Rs 49/- which is the cheapest data tariff in the current Indian telecom market. These new BSNL net packs are available as a regular offer in all India from 10th October 2016. But the double data offer is available as a promotional scheme from 10-10-2016 to 31-10-2016.
