[Image: Big-Synergy-main.jpg]MUMBAI: Anil Ambani-promoted production house Big Synergy is planning to produce around 200-300 hours of content for TV channels and digital video on demand (VoD) platforms in 2018.

On the TV side, the company will be working with Star Plus, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and Zee TV. On the digital side, it will be creating web content for Vuclip, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and Applause Entertainment.

“In 2018, Big Synergy is planning to produce around 200-300 hours of content for Television and digital. On digital, the production house will be creating content for Vuclip, Amazon, Netflix and Applause Entertainment,” Big Synergy CEO Indranil Chakraborty told TelevisionPost.com.

He further added, “We have already shot a pilot for Star Plus and are also in-talks with Sony Entertainment and Zee TV for the other formats. The formats of three shows will revolve around live interaction with audience while the other two shows will have a game format. We are also planning to bring back ‘Dus Ka Dum’, next year with some tweaked format.”

Big Synergy produced web series ‘Bose Dead/Alive’ is set to launch on subscription video on demand (VoD) platform ALTBalaji on 20 November. Bose Dead/Alive is a 9 episode series which has a runtime of 23 minutes.

The show starring RajKummar Rao is directed by Hansal Mehta and has been talk of the town for a while. The trailer of the show has also received positive response with majority of people claiming it to be international standard.

Talking about the show, Chakraborty said it is one of the high-budgeted shows produced by the company. The production cost for Bose Dead/Alive falls in the range of Rs 10 to 20 crore.

Chakraborty stated that Bose Dead/Alive is not the typical bio-pic of great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, rather it is a thriller.

He also said that the show has been scaled-up 3X times than it was originally decided. The scaling took place across all levels from script to location. The show has been shot in three countries – Poland, Thailand and India (Ladakh).

“We wanted to change the mindset. We want to say that even India can produce the series of international caliber. We also received great support from Ekta (Kapoor) and her team,” he noted.
