[Image: o9BB99o.jpg]MUMBAI:With the culmination of live singing reality show ‘Rising Star’, Colors is all set to air yet another live format show ‘India Banega Manch’ from 7 May, at 9 pm, every Saturday and Sunday.

The live format is inspired by Israeli show ‘Win the Crowd’ and will be hosted by Krushna Abhishek and Mona Singh. Like ‘Rising Star’, the fate of the contestants will be purely in the hands of the audience as there will be no judges or mentors to guide or judge the contestants.

The interactive show will take place on the streets with no audience, no votes and no judges. A source confirmed that the format of the show will be similar to that of ‘Win the Crowd’.

The show will feature street performers or performers who will showcase their talent on the streets. Contestants like singers, dancers, jugglers, or anyone with a unique talent will perform on the streets for a set time limit. The performer should try to attract the largest crowd. For every person that stops to watch, the performer scores one point.

Abhishek and Mona will monitor the scores from the control room. After the performance, every performer will be invited by the hosts to view his/her score. A performer with a higher score than the previous performer gets to stay. A lower score sends the contestant home.

This will be the second live crowd-engagement show on Colors. ‘India Banega Manch’ is based more on an on-ground engagement as it lets the audience watch the contestants perform live on the streets.

The show will run for three months, followed by Colors’ popular property ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. The tentative launch date of this Endemol show, which is the Indian version of ‘Fear Factor’, is August. Bollywood director Rohit Shetty will be back to host the new season of the stunt reality game show. The last season featured Arjun Kapoor as the host, but the actor could not continue this year due to his film commitment. The series is filmed in four countries—Malaysia, South Africa, Argentina and Spain.

On the fictional front, Colors is planning to bring two new shows—medical drama ‘Savitri Devi College Aur Hospital’ and comedy show ‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’ by May. The channel is yet to decide on the date and time for both the shows.

‘Savitri Devi College Aur Hospital’, a one hour medical drama, is produced by Rashmi Sharma and is said to focus on medical issues and malpractices that take place in hospitals and affect people’s lives. The weekday series will star actors like Mohan Kapur, Shilpa Shirodkar, Swarda, Neha Bagga, Sharan Kaur and Vikram Sakhalkar. The story is primarily set in a Delhi-based multi-speciality hospital.

‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’, a weekday comedy show, is produced by Sanjay Kohli of Edit II Productions and is written by Anukalp Goswami. The show features Hiba Nawab, Jay Soni and Shruti Rawat in lead roles.

The sitcom will revolve around Bakool, who lives a dual life. He simultaneously lives a rural and an urban life, which has caused a lot of problems in his life, as he is married to two women and has to keep them apart in order to live a peaceful life.
