General News Comedy Central, Colors Infinity bolster prime-time content line-up

MUMBAI: Viacom18’s English entertainment channels Comedy Central and Colors Infinity have bolstered their content line-up with new additions to their bouquet of shows.

Comedy Central has added ‘The Big Bang Theory’ to its roster to comedy shows with ‘Two and A Half Men’, ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’, ‘Mom’, and ‘The Good Place’. The channel’s weekday prime-time runs from 7–11 pm.

Boasting a collection of novel shows that encompasses every emotion, Colors Infinity now adds popular comedy ‘2 Broke Girls’ at 8 pm, along with critically-acclaimed & most-watched legal drama ‘Suits’ to its lush line-up of the biggest international shows from all over the globe.

Leading up to the final season in July that will air day-and-date on Colors Infinity, fans of Suits can relive the affair with their favorite show, as the channel airs 2-episodes back-to-back starting from season 1, every weekday at 11 pm.

Commenting on the intricately planned programming, Viacom18 Head of Programming, English Entertainment Hashim Dsouza said, “Presenting an assortment of shows like none other, Comedy Central and Colors Infinity continue to remain undisputed leaders in English entertainment. Whilst exhibiting a distinctive roster on both channels, entertaining and engaging viewers has always been the center of our programming decisions, offering only the best-in-class shows. Spoilt for choice, viewers can pick and choose from a perfectly curated blend of shows unique to each channel that manifests a variety of genres including comedy, drama, romance, action and much more. We aim to create a wholesome viewing experience for viewers, with the inclusion of shows like The Big Bang Theory to Comedy Central’s line-up and Suits to Colors Infinity’s, that complement each channel’s ethos.”

Two and a Half Men – All Seasons (7-8 pm)

A multiple Primetime Emmy Award winner show follows Charlie Harper, a jingle writer who leads a hedonistic, carefree life. Everything changes when his brother, Alan and 10-year-old nephew Jake, move into his Malibu beach house.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S – All Seasons (8-9 pm)

One of the highest-rated show, F.R.I.E.N.D.S follows the personal and professional lives of six twenty to thirty-something-year-old friends, living in Manhattan. It all begins when Rachel Green flees her wedding and seeks out her childhood friend, Monica Geller. They become roommates and Rachel joins Monica’s social circle.

The Big Bang Theory – Season 1 to 10 (9-10 pm)

‘The Big Bang Theory’ centers around 5 characters: Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper, both physicists who share an apartment, Penny a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall and Leonard and Sheldon’s similarly geeky and socially awkward friends and co-workers, aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali.

Mom – Season 6 (10 pm)

Created by Chuck Lorre and starring Anna Faris with Oscar & Emmy winner Allison Janney, the show follows a newly sober single mom tries to pull her life together in Napa Valley while dealing with her wayward mother.

The Good Place – Season 1 to 3 (10:30 pm)

Created by Michael Schur (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and starring Kristen Bell and multiple Emmy Award winner, Ted Danson. Eleanor Shellstrop, a deceased saleswoman who lived a morally corrupt life, finds herself in a heaven-like afterlife in a case of mistaken identity and tries to hide her past in order to stay there.

Colors Infinity

Two Broke Girls – All Seasons (8-9 pm)

This rags-to-riches story follows the lives of friends Max and Caroline who are waitresses at a diner and hope to start a successful business one day if only they can manage to raise the cash and not crash!

Suits – Season 1 to 8 (11 pm – 12 am)

A swaggering legal drama set in a New York, SUITS delves into the world of a top corporate law firm where a legendary hotshot lawyer Harvey Specter makes a risky move by hiring a brilliant college dropout Mike Ross. Together, these top minds rely on their knowledge, wit, and intuition to handle cases while keeping many a secret.
