Customer Alert: BSNL published list of Blackout Days for the Calendar Year 2017 for Prepaid and Postpaid Mobile customers

After announcing New Year Offer 2017 - All FREE Prepaid Mobile Plan with unlimited free calls to any network @ just Rs 149/-, state run telecom giant, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has published list of Blackout Days for the Calendar Year 2017 for its Prepaid and Postpaid Mobile customers.

As per the guidelines issued by TRAI, Freebies offered with Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) / Concessional / Discounted Voice Calls / SMS will not be available to customers in these days. Blackout will be applicable to both prepaid and postpaid mobile customers in all telecom circles.

NOTE: Blackout is Not Applicable to BSNL 3G/2G Data Offers

For all 2G/3G mobile plans which are offered with initial freebies and monthly freebies on Voice and SMS, the concession on Voice Calls / SMS will be not be applicable and they will be charged as per their Parent Mobile Plan on these Blackout days. Customers are advised to make use of the existing Full Talk Time / Extra Talk Time Offers in Blackout Days.

In short, in Blackout Days, customers will not get reduced Voice and SMS tariff as per their subscribed special tariff vouchers (STVs) and all voice calls will be charged as per your current tariff plan. However, customer may enjoy Data STVs during blackout days also.
