MUMBAI: English movie channels have lined up movie premieres for their viewers during the weekend. ZEEL-owned &flix and &PrivéHD and Times Network’s MNX are all set to premiere movies during the weekend.

&flix will premiere ‘The New Adventures of Aladdin’ on 18 November at 9 pm. Directed by Arthur Benzaquen, the film stars Kev Adams in the lead role and other French actors such as Jean-Paul Rouve and Vanessa Guide who play the role of Vizir and Princess Sofia respectively.

This Flix First premiere, while inspired by the original movie, is embellished with a modern-day adventure of Genie and Aladdin. Just like how fantasy stories have the ability to transcend us into another world, with the New Adventures of Aladdin, &flix does exactly that and more – filled with comedy, drama, action and an extra dose of entertainment.

MNX will premiere the American supernatural horror film,‘Wish Upon’ for the first time on Indian television. Directed by John R. Leonetti, the creator of critically acclaimed movies like ‘Annabelle’ and ‘The Conjuring’, the movie features Joey King, Ki Hong Lee, Sydney Park, Elisabeth Röhm, and Ryan Phillippe. ‘Wish Upon’, will air on 18 November at 9 pm.

A modern-day, teen-centric movie, ‘Wish Upon’, is a chilling story about of a 17-year-old girl, Clare, who like every other teenager goes through difficult times at high school. When her father gifts her an old music box with an inscription that promises to grant the owner’s wishes, she thinks there is nothing to lose. But with time she realises that behind every granted wish lies a horrible secret. The story unfolds to keep one on the edge of their seat, wondering what will happen next.

&PrivéHD, the premium destination for nuanced cinema, will premiere ‘The Family Fang’ on 17 November at 1 pm and 9 pm. Directed by Jason Bateman, best remembered for his roles in comedy movies and television movies The Hogan Family, Arrested Development among others, the film brings together a promising cast featuring Nicole Kidman (Annie), Christopher Walken (Caleb Fang), Jason Butler Harner (Caleb)and other excellent and talented artists.
