MUMBAI: Hindi GECs will ring in November with the launch of new shows in crucial prime-time slots. As of now, four new shows are scheduled to go-air in November.

Sony Entertainment Television (SET), Zee TV, Sab TV, and Star Bharat have lined-up new shows. Star Plus, on the other hand, will air movies as part of its special property ‘Khul Ke Baat’.

SET will air historical drama ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ from 14 November at 8 pm every Monday-Tuesday. The show will be a continuation of its existing show ‘Porus’. While ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ is a new show it will act as a bridge and connecting link with ‘Porus’.

Zee TV will launch supernatural thriller ‘Manmohini’ on 19 November at 7.30 pm every Monday-Friday. The show will replace ‘Kaleerein’. Produced by Prateek Sharma’s LSD Films, the show stars Ankit Siwach, Garima Singh Rathore and Reyhna Pandit. The horror show narrates the story of a girl who is waiting for her love for five years.

Sab TV will roll out a new comedy-drama ‘Mangalam Dangalam’ from 13 November at 7.30 pm. This slot was vacant as ‘Super Sisters’ went off-air this month.

Produced by Viniyard Films, ‘Mangalam Dangalam – Kabhi Pyaar Kabhi Vaar’ is a love-hate saga between a father and son-in-law played by Manoj Joshi and Karanvir Sharma respectively. The show will also feature newbie Manisha Rawat as the female lead who will be joined by Anjali Gupta, Anita Kulkarni, Abhay Kulkarni, and Shubha Khote as the supporting cast.

Star Bharat is bringing back the second season of its popular series ‘Kaal Bhairav Rahasya’ from 20 November every Monday-Saturday at 7 pm. The new season will feature actors Gautam Rode and Additi Gupta in the lead role. This socio-thriller drama is based in the fictitious village depicting exciting and mysterious tales. Producer Ravi Garani has also roped Seema Pandey, Sonia Singh and Aayam Mehta to play pivotal roles.

Star Plus is launching a month-long property ‘Khul Ke Baat’ which will feature films that dealt with the topic of homosexuality. The movies lined up for release under this property are ‘My Brother Nikhil’, ‘Dear Dad’, and ‘Memories in March’. The movies will air every Sunday at 11 pm from 11 November. The property will kick-off with the new season of ‘Satyameva Jayate’ from 4 November. The ‘Khul Ke Baat’ campaign kicked off with the repeat telecast of Satyamev Jayate’s homosexuality episode on Sunday.
