General News LeEco partners with Reliance Jio, offers VoLTE support for Le 2, Le Max 2

LeEco has entered into a partnership with Reliance Jio for the company’s “Jio Welcome Offer” which provides free unlimited voice and data services until December 31. LeEco claims that this partnership opens up a world of possibilities and grants its users unlimited freedom to access content and information anytime anywhere.

Consumers can get the Jio Welcome Offer on all smartphones in the LeEco lineup – Le 2, Le 1s, Le 1s Eco, Le Max and Le Max 2. Le 2 and Le Max 2 users will be able to use VoLTE call feature on Reliance Jio, getting high definition voice calling over LTE network and instant call connect. Other LeEco device will be able to download the Jio Join App for voice calls.

Users availing the Jio Welcome Offer will be able to use their mobile data without worrying about their data bills till December 31, 2016. Starting January 1, users can choose a suitable plan through the Reliance Jio website.

Commenting on the partnership, Atul Jain, COO, Smart Electronics, LeEco India, said, “With the vision and roadmap to provide integrated services leveraging the mobile as a platform, LeEco has successfully created the hardware, software and services ecosystem for enabling a seamless digital upgrade for our consumers. LeEco has been offering a great content bouquet to the Indian consumers and now with this association with Jio, we believe that our users will be able to fully unlock the potential of our Superphone and experience 4G like never before.”

Consumers purchasing new LeEco smartphones will get a year of LeEco membership through which they can access more than 2000 movies and more than 100 live TV channels in the library.
