‘Har Mard Ka Dard’ will either replace the channel’s existing show ‘Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant’ at 8 pm or ‘Kalash’ at 8.30 pm.

The weekday show is produced by Deeya Singh of DJ’s Creative Unit and is directed by popular actor Parmeet Sethi. It is expected to be a sitcom similar to ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega’ that aired on the network’s flagship channel Star Plus.

‘Har Mard Ka Dard’ will feature Faisal Rashid, Vaishali Thakkar, Parmeet Sethi, Anita Kanwal, Paritosh Sand, RJ Mantra and Jinal Belani in leading roles. The story revolves around a man (played by Faisal Rashid) who gets superpowers to understand every woman’s desire but lands in trouble as he tries to fulfill them.

The launch of the new show is meant as a content-revamping exercise by replacing three out of its four running shows. The decision on ending the show will be based on its performance on the ratings charts.

Besides ‘Har Mard Ka Dard’, the channel will launch ‘Ghulam’ on 16 January, replacing the big-budget series ‘Nagarjun: Ek Yodha’ at 9 pm. The show featuring actors Vikkas Manaktala, Niti Taylor and Param Singh is produced by Saurabh Tewari’s Parin Multimedia and Rajesh Chadha’s IMRC Entertainment.

The channel is also set to launch a different version of Doordarshan’s popular series ‘Chandrakanta’ as ‘Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta’. Interestingly, Viacom18’s Hindi GEC Colors will also be airing a new version of the Chandrakanta story. The Life OK version is produced by Nikhil Sinha, who had earlier produced the hit series ‘Siya Ke Ram’ for Star Plus.

‘Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta’ is in the production stage and the launch date is yet to be finalised. However, sources say that the aim is to launch the show by March.

The show is targeted at audiences from PHCHP (Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh), Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and peripheral North Indian markets.
