General News Micromax Canvas Spark vs Micromax Unite 3: Specifications and features compared
Micromax yesterday expanded its Unite series and launched the Unite 3 in India. The device is another addition to Micromax’s ever expanding Lollipop-based smartphone and we pit the Unite 3 with the recently released Canvas Spark that sold out in under 5 minutes on Snapdeal earlier today. Let’s see which is a better Micromax smartphone.

The Canvas Spark is priced much less at Rs 4,999,while the Unite 3 is priced a bit more at Rs 6,569. It is important to note that while the Unite 3 is available online freely, the Canvas Spark can only be lapped up via the flash sale model on Snapdeal.

Both the smartphones sport a 4.7-inch display. In terms of resolution, the Canvas Spark has a qHD display with 960×540 pixel resolution which is slightly better than the WVGA display with 800×480 pixel resolution on the Unite 3.

The Unite 3 and Canvas Spark both are powered by the same processor. Both the smartphones are powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6582 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

The two smartphones also have the same internal storage space of 8GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Again, both the smartphones have an 8-megapixel rear snapper with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front snapper.

The battery of the two smartphones is also identical at 2,000mAh with similar 220 hours on standby and 8 hours of talktime.

OS and Connectivity

The smartphones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box and offer 3G support, dual-SIM support (dual standby), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Unite 3 and Canvas Spark come with almost identical specifications, with the Canvas Spark featuring a better display. Looking at the price, the Canvas Spark is still the best buy.

Detailed specification comparison of the Micromax Canvas Spark and Micromax Unite 3 is given below:
