Motorola launches higher-end variant of Moto Z3 Play in Brazil: Comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage
Earlier in the month, Motorola launched its new flagship smartphone called the Moto Z3 Play in Brazil. During the launch event, the company had stated that it will be launching a high-end variant of the smartphone, which will carry 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is launching today in Brazil, for a price R$2,699 (approximately Rs 48,550).
Besides the upgraded RAM and storage, the smartphone will also be available in darker Onyx color. To compare specs, the standard variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and is priced at R$2,299 (approximately Rs 41,300). Apart from that, the hardware and the design seems to be the same. Pricing and availability in India haven’t been revealed yet, but we expect both variants of the smartphone to hit the market soon.
Moto Z3 Play specifications and features
The Moto Z3 Play sports a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED display, featuring a full HD+ resolution (1080×2160 pixels) and aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC and a 3,000mAh battery, which comes with support for Power fast charging technology. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and carries support for Moto Mods, just like its predecessors.
In the optics department, the Moto Z3 Play comes with a dual-camera setup at the back. You get a primary 12-megapixel sensor paired alongside a 5-megapixel depth measurement sensor that can take bokeh images. It can also help add different effects to the background. There is also support for dual-pixel autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash. For taking selfies, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera featuring an f/2.0 aperture and screen flash. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
