MUMBAI: My FM, the radio division of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has strengthened its presence in the state of Maharashtra with the launch of two stations in Nashik and Jalgaon.
Earlier, the FM radio broadcaster had four stations in Maharashtra. By March 2017, the broadcasters will launch three more live stations in Sholapur, Dhule and Akola.
The Nashik station was launched under 104.2 FM frequency on 16 January while the Jalgaon station was launched on 94.3 FM frequency on 18 January. In Jalgoan, My FM is the only live station.
Speaking at the launch, My FM CEO Harrish Bhatia said, “With the launch of these two new stations, we are getting closer to consolidating our presence in Maharshtra and being seen as the largest network of real Maharashtra. Committed to our brands ideology, we will provide the best localised content in these regions and keep our listeners entertained.”
My FM designed a high-decibel pre-launch campaign as a build-up to the launch. The two-month campaign titled ‘Aapki Marzi’ sought public opinion on how the city’s own radio station should be in terms of music, humour and RJ talk. The campaign witnessed huge response from the listeners. The broadcaster also designed a launch campaign to amplify the buzz. The launch campaign ‘Ab har kaan khush’ (Now every ear is happy) has been rolled out in the cities through print ads, outdoor and human banner.
