General News: New SlimType cover doubles as QWERTY keyboard for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge and always wanted a physical QWERTY keyboard, you’re in luck. A Norwegian company called One2Touch has introduced a new SlimType cover sporting a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Touted as “the first smart cover with keyboard,” the SlimType measures 145.55mm in height and is 2.5mm thin, and comes with a protective textile cover. One of the USPs of the SlimType cover is it doesn’t feature any connector nor does it include any battery that requires charging.

The SlimType cover pairs with your Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge via NFC. However, you will need to download a dedicated app from Google Play Store to use it. The keyboard also includes a host of quick access buttons such as contacts, calendar, email and web applications. It also has a dedicated emoji button.

It is priced at $39 (approximately Rs 2,600) and comes in Black Sapphire, Pearl and Cherry Red color options. As of now, there is no word on the availability, but if you are interested in buying one, you can head over to the company website reserve one for yourself.
