As expected, ZTE’s nubia brand today launched a new smartphone in its Z series, called nubia Z17 mini. The new nubia Z17 mini is currently restricted to the Chinese market, and it is set to go on sale from April 13. Prices for the new smartphone start from RMB 1,699, which comes up to approximately Rs 16,000. As you would expect, there’s currently no word on whether the nubia Z17 mini will come to India.
In line with earlier reports, the nubia Z17 mini’s USP is the dual-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a pair of 13-megapixel snappers – one clicking photos in RGB and the other in monochrome. The two photos are then combined resulting in a sharp and detailed photo. A similar setup is included in smartphones like the Honor 8, Alcatel Flash, Micromax Dual 5, and the Huawei P10 to name a few. For selfie lovers, there’s a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with 80-degree wide-angle lens.

The higher model, on the other hand, is priced at RMB 1,999 (approximately Rs 18,800), and features a Snapdragon 653 SoC paired with 6GB RAM.
