General News Phones with fingerprint sensors under Rs 20,000

Most of us use our smartphones for a variety of purposes, ranging from accessing our emails to operating our bank accounts to keeping our personal photos etc. Thus it is very important to keep the smartphone safe so that no one can misuse the confidential data.


That's why smartphones these days come with various security features such as PIN and Pattern which are quite popular and offer maximum security too. An additional security feature that is becoming common in smartphones/tablets is the fingerprint sensor. It offers an extra layer of security for the devices.


Motorola Atrix was the first device to come with a fingerprint scanner but it was the Apple iPhone 5S which made fingerprint scanner popular and underlined its importance for the phone's security. Expectedly, other device makers recognised its usefulness and now many devices, even the cheaper ones, are coming with fingerprint sensor.


Here we have listed all the devices which are available in India under Rs 20,000 and offer a fingerprint sensor.


Swipe Sense - Rs 5993
The Swipe Sense is the cheapest phone in the market now to have a fingerprint sensor. It is armed with a 5.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It runs on Android KitKat, and has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, which runs with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Swipe Sensestands at 8 GB, to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card.


The phone has a primary camera of 8 megapixel resolution, while in its front lies a 3.2 megapixel selfie taker. The Swipe Sense is a dual-SIM phone with 3G, GPS (A-GPS), Bluetooth, and WiFi. The power is provided by a 2250 mAh battery.


Xolo Q2100 - Rs 87833
The Xolo Q2100 is equipped with a 5.5 full inch HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android KitKat, and has a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, which runs with 1 GB of RAM. Its internal memory stands at 8 GB to which you can add another 32 GB via a microSD card. There is an 8 megapixel autofocus camera and a flash light in its rear panel while a 2 megapixel selfie shooter is in its front.

The dual-SIM Xolo Q2100 is a 3G phone with GPS (A-GPS), WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth for connectivity. The power is provided by a 2800 mAh battery.


Coolpad Note 3 - Rs 8999
The Coolpad Note 3 is armed with a 5.5 inch HD IPS display. It runs on Android Lollipop with Cool UI 6.0, and has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz, which runs with 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Coolpad Note 3 stands at 16 GB, to which you can add another 64 GB via a microSD card.

Lenovo Vibe P1 - Rs 15999
The Lenovo Vibe P1 is equipped with a 5.5 full inch HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android Lollipop, and has an octa-core 1.5 GHz processor, which runs with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 32 GB to which you can add another 128 GB via a microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha - Rs 18911
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is armed with a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Running on Android KitKat, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a 1.8 GHz octa-core processing unit with 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is 32 GB, but it lacks an expansion slot.

The 12 megapixel primary camera has auto-focus, geo-tagging, smile detection, panorama, HDR, ultra HD video recording (4K). There is also a 2.1 megapixel front camera. The single SIM 4G enabled Samsung Galaxy Alpha has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, etc. for connectivity needs. The 1860 mAh battery can provide up to 11 hours of talk time.

iBerry Auxus Prime P8000 - Rs 12142
The iBerry Auxus Prime P8000 is equipped with a 5 inch full HD IPS display. The phone runs on Android Lollipop, and has an octa-core 1.3 GHz processor, which runs with 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory stands at 16 GB to which you can add another 128 GB via a microSD card.

The Meizu MX5 is armed with a 5.5 inch full HD AMOLED display. It runs on Android Lollipop, and has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, which runs with 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory of the Meizu MX5 stands at 32 GB, to which you cannot add any more.
