General News: &Pictures to premiere ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ on 4 September

MUMBAI: Hindi movie channel &Pictures will entertain its viewers this weekend with the world TV premiere of the romantic musical ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ on 4 September at 8:30 pm.

Starring cross border beauty Mawra Hocaine and handsome hunk Harshvardhan Rane, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ is a young modern day love story encapsulating romance, heartbreaks and intense emotions.

Directed by the duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Sanam Teri Kasam is a story of a bespectacled plain Jane ‘Saru’ (Mawra Hocaine) who is rejected by all due to her simple appearance. Dejected Saru takes the matter in her own hands and reaches out to her dashing yet unruly neighbour Inder (Harshvardhan Rane) for a makeover.

As luck would have it, their lives change when Saru’s father renounces her due to a massive misunderstanding. With nowhere to go, Saru finds solace in Inder who is in process to transform her into a beautiful young lady.

Speaking about her debut in Bollywood, Mawra Hocaine said, “I was extremely overwhelmed to get a performance driven role in my first Bollywood film. Im awestruck by the scale and filmmaking standards of India and am happy I could start off with Sanam Teri Kasam. It was a great learning experience and Harshvardhan was a really supportive co-star Now with the movie coming on &pictures, I am sure more people would get to watch and enjoy the movie.”
