MUMBAI: Private FM radio network Radio One has acquired the broadcast rights to air 92.7 Big FM’s marquee show ‘Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor’.
The show, which airs across Big FM’s 37 Hindi-speaking markets (HSM), is now also available for Radio One’s Ahmedabad listeners. The show airs from 10 am to 12 noon.
Hosted by Annu Kapoor, the show has the tagline ‘Filmy Duniya Ki Kahi Ankahi Kahaniya’ and takes listeners through the unexplored lanes of Hindi movies.
Speaking on the development, Radio One Ahmedabad station head Rajeev Nair said, “Obtaining rights to air one of the most successful radio shows ever is a huge step towards strengthening our ‘100% retro’ positioning in our Ahmedabad market. We are extremely thrilled that ‘Suhaana Safar’ will now mesmerise listeners on Radio One, and we hope to replicate the success that the show has achieved with 92.7 BIG FM over the last three years.”
The show has been consistently rated as the top show in the 10 am–12 noon time band for Big FM’s Mumbai market and has won several accolades such as Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award.
