Nice Review SRK. Are they giving free HDMI cable alongwith the STB?

They don't provide HDMI free with STB . Actually that connection came along with Samsung UA32C5000QM LED TV .

What is the purpose of USB ports

At present you can use it for recharging mobile phones and other USB devices ! .Brother It is for future use . Now it doesn't recognize any USB devices ,but charging phones work .

USB ports are there in DVR's also, but at the moment its of no use., I think.

Yes it is there in almost all HD Set top boxes of all dth services . None work .

Planning to upgrade from a Reliance Regular STB to Reliance HD box. Is this a good option....

You can opt for Reliance High Definition Digital Video Recorder than normal HD stb. Difference between HD DVR and HD stb is around 1.5k.

Do u think really RDTV HD provide all channel in HD ready format (except non HD channels)?

Really user can watch SD channels in HD Ready format?
