After launching the Galaxy C9 Pro in India earlier this year, Samsung today has launched yet another C-series smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is targeted towards the selfie-centric audience, thanks to its 16-megapixel front-facing camera of aperture f/1.9. The smartphone is just 7mm thick and weighs 172g.
The selfie-centric crowd is a niche audience, but of late, a lot of smartphone brands have been releasing devices that cater to such users. OPPO, Vivo and Gionee have been focusing on smartphones with good selfie cameras, and Samsung has tried it with the Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7 and Galaxy C9 Pro previously. The Galaxy C7 Pro brings this approach to the sub-Rs 30,000 segment as well.
Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro price and availability
The device is priced at Rs 27,990 and will go on sale starting April 11 exclusively on Amazon India. The smartphone will be offered in gold and navy blue color options. At this price point, the Galaxy C7 Pro will compete with the self-proclaimed ‘flagship killer’ OnePlus 3T (64GB) which is priced at Rs 29,999. It will also go against the Vivo V5 Plus, which is priced at Rs 27,980 and OPPO F3 Plus which is priced at Rs 30,990.
The Vivo V5 Plus features dual front-facing cameras – a 20-megapixel sensor to capture high-resolution selfies, and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor to capture depth information. The dual-camera setup allows you to add bokeh-effects to your selfies. The OPPO F3 Plus, on the other hand, also features a dual-camera setup comprising of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, together allowing you to capture wide-angle selfies.
