Samsung has unveiled a new color variant for its Galaxy S9+. Called Sunrise Gold Edition, this variant is priced at Rs 68,900. Pre-orders for this variant has kicked off today, and it will be available from June 20.

As mentioned, this new color variant is priced at Rs 68,900. It will be going on sale from June 20. It will be available via offline retail stores. Alternatively, you can also buy it off Samsung’s online store or Flipkart. For online buyers, there’s an option to pre-book the device today.

If you are to buy the Galaxy S9+ Sunrise Gold Edition, Samsung will be offering a one-time screen replacement. Additionally, buyers will also be entitled to Rs 9,000 cashback if the payment is made via Paytm Mall or ICICI credit cards.

The new Sunrise Gold Edition joins the existing color options including Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple. Describing this new color, Samsung says, “The Sunrise Gold edition of Galaxy S9+ is Samsung’s first device to feature a satin gloss finish which wraps the smartphone in an elegant glow and glimmer. This sophisticated finish was developed to appeal to all users by bringing a stylistic touch of high fashion and urban interior design to a user’s mobile device.”

As for the specifications and features, they remain the same. So essentially you get a 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, Exynos chipset, 128GB storage, 6GB RAM, dual-camera setup (12-megapixel+12-megapixel) at the back, and an 8-megapixel autofocus front camera. The smartphone also features a 3,500mAh battery with support for fast charging and wireless fast charging.

In addition to the new Galaxy S9+ variant, Samsung has also unveiled a TV Control widget. This widget works on Samsung’s SmartThings app, and is aimed at offering an “unified convergence solution between mobiles and televisions”. With this widget enabled when you are near a compatible TV, the TV Control widget will automatically show up on the phone. The app then lets you either mirror your phone onto the TV screen or vice versa.
