MUMBAI: Sports broadcaster Star Sports has said that it will offer two hours of dedicated content daily leading up to Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. This translates to 60 hours of programming per month. The IPL 2018 will be held from 4 April to 31 May.
The programming will be aired in two time bands, morning 9 to 10 am and evening 10 to 11 pm. The morning time band features shows like Gameplan, IPL highlights, and Show repeats while the evening time band has shows like Knight Club, Super Kings Show, Cricket Countdown, and IPL Highlights & Show.
As a lead-up to the IPL 2018, engaging, action packed content such as team documentaries, player banter and talk shows will also be a regular feature on the Star Sports network.
IPL 2018 Retention telecast was the beginning of the six month programming calender which was followed by Election Se Selection marketing campaign featuring Virender Sehwag, leading up to the IPL 2018 Player Auction. The 11th edition of the auctions received an overwhelming response from fans and was viewed by a 46.5 million people across the Star Sports network.
In addition to watching IPL in Hindi and English, Star will offer IPL 2018 in four regional languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali.
