General News Top 10 octa-core smartphones in India priced under Rs 10,000

Micromax just launched the Canvas Xpress 2  in India. The smartphone is available exclusively on Flipkart, and is priced at Rs 5,999, making it the most affordable Android smartphone with an octa-core processor. The Canvas Xpress 2 first flash sale will be on August 4, registrations for which are now open. We look at all the octa-core smartphones under Rs 10,000.



1. Micromax Canvas Xpress 2: The smartphone has been launched for Rs 5,999 exclusively on Flipkart. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display, a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor paired with 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable memory, 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2,500mAh battery, and runs on Android Kitkat out-of-the-box. The Canvas Xpress 2 will be available via the flash sale model on August 4, registrations for which are now open.

2. Yu Yureka Plus: Yu launched the Yureka Plus last week on Amazon India. It is priced at Rs 9,999 and as far as specifications are concerned, the Yureka Plus is exactly the same as the Yureka but now has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB expandable internal storage, a 13-megapixel autofocus camera, a 5-megapixel selfie camera,  2,500mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. 3. Lenovo K3 Note: The Lenovo K3 Note was launched last month for Rs 9,999. As far as specifications are concerned, the K3 Note flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB expandable memory, a 13-megapixel snapper, a 5-megapixel camera, Dolby Atmos sound technology, 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G support on both SIMs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the phablet runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.

4. Honor 4C: The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and is exclusively available on Flipkart. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Honor 4C flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display, a  1.2GHz octa-core Kirin 620 processor paired with Mali 450 GPU and 2GB RAM. It offers 8GB expandable memory,13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel sensor with 22mm wide-angle lens, 2,550mAh battery and runs on Android KitKat on top of Emotion UI 3.0. Connectivity wise, it offers LTE support, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

5. Lava Iris X8: The Lava Iris X8 is priced at Rs 8,999, and is sold exclusively on Flipkart. As far as specifications are concerned, the Iris X8 flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, and a 1.4 GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB expandable storage, 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, 3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

6. Micromax Canvas Nitro A311: The smartphone is currently available on ecommerce websites for Rs 8,499. As far as specifications go, the Canvas Nitro A311 flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display, a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor paired with ARM Mali 450 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It offers 16GB expandable storage, 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a 2,500mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

7. Spice stellar 526n Octa: The smartphone is priced at Rs 7,999. As the name suggests, the Spice Stellar 526n Octa is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired Mali GPU and 1GB of RAM. It flaunts a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display. It comes with 8GB expandable storage, 8-megapixel primary snapper, 3.2-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 3G support, GPS, microUSB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

8. Intex Aqua Desire HD: The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,990 and comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, and a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592M octa-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It sports 8GB expandable memory, 10-megapixel autofocus primary camera, 5-megapixel secondary camera, 2,000mAh battery and runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2.

9. Panasonic P55 NOVO: The smartphone has been launched in India for Rs 9,290 and comes with a 5.3-inch HD display, an octa-core 1.4GHz processor with a support of 1 GB-RAM and 8 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB.  It brings on board a 13-mega pixel rear camera with triple LED flash for low light photography. In addition, the 5-mega pixel front camera will also come with an LED flash enabling the device to click better selfies. The phone will draw its power from a 2,500-mAH battery.

10. Infocus M330: The handset is priced at Rs 7,999 and comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla 2 protection. Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel primary snapper and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The phone comes with 16GB expandable storage and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
