Earlier this year in September, Vivo launched the V7+ smartphone in India priced at Rs 21,990. During the launch, the Chinese smartphone maker had announced that it will be launching the slightly compact Vivo V7 in a few weeks. Today, at an event in Delhi, Vivo has launched the V7 smartphone in India, priced at Rs 18,990. The smartphone will go on sale starting November 24 exclusively on Flipkart, and offline retail stores. Buyers will be able to choose from two color variants – champagne gold and black.

Flipkart and Vivo are offering a bunch of offers such as extra Rs 2,000 off on exchanging your old smartphone for a Vivo V7. Vivo is also offering one-time screen replacement, and no-cost EMI’s starting at Rs 1,584. There are also other offers for HDFC Bank credit and debit card users. Buyers will also be eligible to get free couple movie vouchers from BookMyShow.

There are a few key differences between the Vivo V7+ and the Vivo V7. The V7+ sports a 5.99-inch FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio, whereas the V7 comes with a slightly smaller 5.7-inch HD display with the same 18:9 aspect ratio. Secondly, while the V7+ comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, the V7 comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The battery capacity on the V7 is slightly smaller at 3,000mAh, compared to 3,225mAh on the V7+. Rest of the specifications remain the same.

Vivo V7 specifications, features
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, and paired with 4GB of RAM. There is 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. At the rear, the Vivo V7 houses a 16-megapixel camera of f/2.0 aperture along with an LED flash. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Funtouch OS 3.2 on top.

To keep things ticking, the smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the smartphone include dual-SIM card support, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. For security, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back, and Face Unlock feature.

At its price point, the smartphone will compete with the likes of the newly launched Moto X4, Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie (Dual Cam), and the Oppo F5 to name a few.
