Vodafone has announced the rollout of its Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) services in Uttar Pradesh. The company has rolled out its services in the Western region of the state.

The company has rolled out its VoLTE services in cities including Meerut, Agra, Dehradun, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Haldwani and Moradabad. Vodafone customers will now be able to make calls using VoLTE and enjoy HD quality voice. Vodafone SuperNet 4G customers can access Vodafone VoLTE for no additional charges and all calls will be billed as per existing plan or pack benefits.

With this, Vodafone is now offering VoLTE services in Rajasthan, Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra and Goa. The brand will extend these services across the country in a phased manner over the next few months.

For the unintended, VoLTE services work on the 4G networks speed, which will provide HD quality of voice calls and faster call setup to customers. In case of non-availability of 4G network coverage, VoLTE calls will automatically fall back on the 3G/2G network, so that the customers continue to stay connected.

The brand has also revealed a list of smartphones that works seamlessly with Vodafone’s VoLTE services. The list includes OnePlus 3, 5 and 5T; Xiaomi Redmi 4, Mi Mix 2, Mi Max 2; Nokia 5 and Nokia 8; Honor View 10, 9i, 7X and 8 Pro; Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro and Galaxy J7 Nxt.

Announcing the launch of the Vodafone VoLTE service, Dilip Kumar Ganta, Business Head – UP West, Vodafone India, said, “We are delighted to inform that Vodafone is the first GSM service provider to launch VoLTE services in UP West circle beginning with Meerut, Agra, Dehradun, Bareilly, Saharanpur, Aligarh, Haldwani & Moradabad. These services will soon be extended to other key cities. Vodafone VoLTE is a big step towards further enhancing our customer experience and enabling our customers in UP West to explore newer possibilities with their smart devices.”
