Xiaomi has launched its new wired-headphones targeted at audiophiles, and it is called Mi Headphones Comfort. Priced at Rs 2,999, these headphones go on sale from April 18 on mi.com. The sale is set to start at 12:00PM IST.

Earlier today, Xiaomi India’s Manu Kumar Jain teased the release of a new product on Twitter — “Mi Fans: something NEW is coming today! It looks cool, sounds amazing and it feels super comfortable, what it could be? @XiaomiIndia.”. Hours later, the company announced the new closed-back headphones in India, boasting a minimalist design.

The Xiaomi Mi Headphones Comfort are wired over-the-ear headsets and carries a clean and seamless design. The lightweight headphones come with comfortable headband with soft PU leather earcups, which the company claims eliminates sound leakage and isolates noise for better audio experience. The Mi Headphones Comfort feature a 3.5mm jack, which means you can use them with most of the smartphones, laptops and other portable music players.

Interestingly, the headphones come with a gesture control interface, which allows users to control music playback as well as answer calls. For instance, pressing once on the left ear cup answers calls while pressing thrice will take you to the previous track. Similarly, a easy press and release allows play and pause and pressing twice seeks to the next track in playlist.

The headphones feature 1.4 meter long TPE stretchable audio cable with matte finish. Xiaomi claims the wires on Mi Headphones Comfort are non-toxic, durable, dirt-resistant, tangle-resistant and heat-resistant. It has a sensitivity of 107dB with 32ohm speaker impedance and a frequency range of 20 to 40,000 Hertz.
