Xiaomi launched Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones in China last month. The Redmi 6A was announced with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Now the company has launched a new variant of Redmi 6A with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage for 699 Yuan which is approximately Rs 7,246.

The new variant will be available for sale in China from July 10 and currently listed on retailer JD.com's website for pre-order. It is price 100 Yuan costlier than the existing Redmi 6A variant. The Redmi 6A 2GB variant is priced at 699 yuan (approx. Rs 6,300). It currently comes only in gold colour.

Apart from the difference in the storage, the specs of the new variant are same as that of the existing Redmi 6A variant. It features a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display with 720 x 1440 pixel resolution and an 18:9 elongated front screen.

The Redmi 6A features a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone features a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

As per a recent report, Xiaomi Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and 6 Pro are expected to launch in India soon. The report further highlighted that Xiaomi will not launch its flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and Mi Band 3 in India for the next two or three months at least.

There are a fair amount of low-budget smartphones available in the market but many of them are not very good in-terms of speed, performance, features (like camera and battery) connectivity or storage. The best bet in my opinion would be Redmi 6A by Xiaomi. It is available in two prices depending upon the storage space and is the boss of entry-level smartphones in India. Powered by MediaTek’s Helio A22 quad-core processor clocked at 2.0 Ghz and priced at just Rs. 5,999 for the 16GB storage variant and Rs. 6,999 for the 23 GB storage model-it is indeed the best low-budget smartphone under 10k and is a great buy!
