New Delhi: If you think its tough to remember 10 digit mobile phone numbers then get ready for this.
The Department of Telecommunications has proposed a transfer of numbers from 10 digit to 11 digit from January 2010.
India has reportedly added a record of 10.81 million wireless subscribers in the month of December 2008.
This has raised the subscriber base to 346.9 million at the end of year 2008.
The Indian mobile subscriber base grew by 48.5 per cent in 2008. The ten digit numbers are expected to exhaust from August 2009.
