HP launches a 16:9 Full HD Widescreen Monitor

Computer giant HP has introduced 27-inches Full HD Widescreen LCD monitor in the market, to provide better experience for movies, photos and games. The monitor is capable of displaying two windows at the same time, owing to the spacious size of its screen.

The widescreen, diagonally measuring 26.43(w) x 18.45(h) x 8.41(d), makes it easy to view web pages, documents and online gaming due to its high def., with the 1920 x 1080p maximum resolution. It enables users to adjust viewing height and angle using the tilt and swivel feature.

It provides 3 ms gray-to-gray response time and additional BrightView technology for reducing blur in sports broadcast. The monitor, having aspect ratio of 16:9 and dynamic contrast ratio of 30000:1, can be effectively connected with PC using the VGA, DVI-D, and HDMI inputs. The monitor has a weight around 9.6 kg, and comprises with all modern features to make it popular, as compared to products launched by rival companies.

The LCD monitor, equipped with two in-built speakers of 2-watt, is available in various color schemes, with a price tag of Rs. 22,500.

HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) Support for HDCP enables the monitor to display HDTV resolution if connected by the DVI connector. A monitor without HDCP support, or connected by analog VGA, causes the displayed video to be downgraded in quality to a DVD-like resolution that is less than HDTV.

HDCP is also a content protection system. HDCP prevents transmission of non-encrypted high definition content.
