The Andhra Pradesh-based Agri Gold Group is setting its foot to the broadcast media space with the launch of a global travel channel ‘Travel Trendz TV’ by the end of 2nd Quarter of 2012. The channel, dedicated to promoting world travel and tourism, will be available in four Indian languages (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali) apart from English, and will focus on providing Indian as well as International content to over 65 percent of the Indian population. With the tagline ‘Your passport to the Universe’, it seeks to become India’s first 24×7 tourism channel.
The President of Travel Trendz TV, PR Satheesh said; “The organisation has chosen a space that is dear to me and I feel very passionate about the vision and the mission. It also offers me the challenges and the excitement of a startup that keeps my adrenalin flowing.”
“This is the biggest plus for us. And we believe, from our research, that the Indian audience is hungry for Indian and International content portrayed in an educative manner and not glamorised content.” He added.
“The channel is poised to be launched soon. The strategies are already in place. We have a very passionate team headed by Abdul Azeem, ED & CEO, and assisted by Tajamul Husain, CSO, who comes with over two decades of international experience, Apurupa Avvas, Director, and Som Banerjee, Channel Head, who believes he can create 48 hours in a day,” informed Satheesh announcing the new appointments.
Travel Trendz TV is a venture promoted by Tourism & Travel Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, a company incorporated under the Indian Companies Act, the channel was test launched in April 2011 for beaming through INSAT 4A satellite across a footprint of 48 countries (including China and Japan, Far East, North Africa, Middle East and the Indian sub-continent).
Travel Trendz TV will be available all over the world through web casting, after the launch. The company has stated that discussions are on to find the local partners in various countries for extended coverage in other languages.
