<img style="margin: 0 0 0 10px; float: right;" src="http://thatscricket.oneindia.in/img/2010/11/22-icc-logo.jpg"/>Cricket's premier governing council, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has asked all its member countries to adopt a domestic anti-corruption code similar to its international code by April 2011. The development comes after a proposal by the Pakistan Task Team (PTT) to talk about the progress of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in implementing the necessary changes by the ICC following the spot-fixing controversy.

Chief executive of the ICC Haroon Lorgat, mentioned that he had communicated with all members in October, requesting them to review their anti-corruption procedures and wherever necessary, to introduce to measures. He said the ICC has come up with a template domestic code which includes the essence of the present anti-corruption code, for countries that don't yet have a set of rules. Countries already possessing a code would compare it with the ICC's for efficacy.

The ICC has asked members to review their measures in a number of areas including integrity structures and issues, education procedures and delivery and a thorough investigation of player's agents. "All members have a responsibility to demonstrate leadership and good practice in protecting the integrity of the sport
at domestic and international level," said Mr Lorgat.
