Help Sony Computer Entertainment launches 'Gully Cricket Game'

With the success of Hanuman and Desi Adda, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is now pleased to announce the launch of first of its kind, gully cricket game - Street Cricket Champions for the PSP and PS2. As a continuing commitment towards partnership with the Indian game development industry, SCEE tied up with Trine Games to provide unadulterated free style cricket, Street Cricket Champions.


This game is bound to be an instant hit with the cricket fans as it offers fast action game play with innovative batting, bowling and fielding style and also experience an array of real environments worldwide. Priced at Rs. 499 for the PS2 and Rs. 699 for the PSP Street Cricket Champions is now available at all retail outlets.


Created in association with Mumbai based game developers Trine Games, Street Cricket Champions has been packed with incredible graphics that lets you roam the streets in 9 fascinating new environments. It’s a brand new avatar of your gully cricket which comes to life on your PSP and PS2 , where you get a chance to show off your over-the-top trick moves in the three unique game-play levels - Exhibition, Tournament and Street League.


Using the multiplayer option on PS2 and equally compelling game-play on the PSP, you can choose a team of 5 and compete against 9 international teams worldwide. From a school to a dhaba; from Kolkata to the Caribbean islands; one has a plethora of options while choosing from local or international environments.


The game enables players to experience street cricket in its entirety through various tricks and non-traditional cricket shots; wherein you can be a fast bowler or a spinner in a single over. It’s a true depiction of flair, style, tricks, and the passion with which the game is played on the streets of India.


To top it all you can also try your hands at some trick shots like the famous Marillier shot over the wicket keeper. The game also features six various reverse cross bat shots and delivers all the exciting, athletic, skilful and technical elements of the sport right in your very own home.
